Not all of the information was of great help to me, but I have often unearthed some real gems!

3. But, sometimes it’s worth paying for.

There is a huge variety of paid resources out there as well. Many of these are of very high quality and are well worth the price.

An issue which comes up, though is that these products are produced by folks who have a one-dimensional view of internet marketing. They have found what works well for them, and offer it to others as the solution for all marketing problems.

But life isn’t like that.

And… some of these products can be very highly priced. I once looked at an affiliate marketing course which charged $700.00 per month to its students. Way out of most peoples’ league!

If you want a paid resource, look at something that is well priced, works on a membership basis, offers a variety of resources and solutions, but most of all offers good quality help and tuition.

To sum up, learning internet marketing basics is an ongoing journey. You should immerse yourself in the learning process. Forums and articles are a great, free resource where you can make a great start. But, if you decide to pay for affiliate marketing help, remember there is more than one answer to every problem. Look for a resource that offers you many different angles on marketing, that is reasonably priced, and that offers you ongoing support. There is a saying: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” Take that to heart, and look for real mentorship, not just one-shot “solutions”.
